What to include in your first message
Route, date and time. Number of passengers and how many bags. If a flight is involved, its number — that is how we track delays.
Also say whether you need a child seat, whether the luggage is unusual, or whether pick-up is on a sand street. Those three change which vehicle goes out.
Why each detail changes which vehicle goes out
A child seat depends on the child’s age and weight, and has to be set aside in advance. A surfboard, a bike or one extra bag decides the trunk. A pick-up in the Quadrado or on a sand street decides how close the car can get — the Quadrado is closed to traffic, so the meeting point there is agreed beforehand.
A flight changes everything: with the number we follow the actual landing and adjust the wait. Without it, all we have is the scheduled time, which is exactly the thing that runs late.
